They didn't have any understanding of anything. They thought the Earth was flat. They didn't know what a molecule is. Or bacteria. Or even what existed 50 miles from where they lived.
When lightning struck it was "God" being angry.

It's a bunch of superstitions written by a backward primitive people.

And somehow there are "scholars" to "study" it.

You gotta admit, when you step back and think about it for a second...it's goddamn ridiculous to "study" a book that is primitive and simpleminded and is basically a collection of fairy tales (unless you really believe a whale swallowed Jonah)
