Media buying not easy as everyone noted, but it is not impossible. You need lots of money and time for tuning it.
Last cam site we launched, we wasted the first $100,000 in dozen of ad networks (those listed in this thread plus others, sort of all the networks) with conversions 1:10,000 or worst (1:infinite), before to select the correct sources and targeting by site, ad spot, geo etc.
The media buying selection process required 6-12 hours a day of checking conversion ratios of thousands of campaign links across hundreds of sites, making whitelists / blacklists, selection of banners - best it is to have 2 people working in shift of 24hours, because if you leave a bad converting link running, it burns your money all the hours you sleep and you stop it only when you wake up and see during night you burn like $200 for zero signups (not even free ones i mean). Better you stopped it sooner.
When you tuned whitelists/blacklists , spots and geo's, you need other $100,000 to spend that good, but then you have the conversion dropping after a while in some spots too, also change the bid price (most networks you fight like in ebay to get spots, you're not alone to figure what converts...) it is not like you leave the campaign unattended.
Also - for a cam site launch consider $500,000 for stabilising it, or as soon as you stop advertising, old guys gone, new ones not there, then cam girls say "this site has no traffic" and quit, then few guys left also quit.
