Occupy was problematic and in some ways kinda silly, but in many of the locales where it was best-organized it did put thousands of people in touch with activist & community groups that still continue after the craze died down. In some places it really helped solidify activist infrastructure and communications. To measure a movement like that with "success" or "did nothing" is pretty facile..
