i guess my concern would be that 'yourself', plus 2 dogs, one overly aggressive, is going to guarantee a fight, as the bear won't see itself as being able to safely 'move away'

if that bear has cubs, you're fucked

but i am thinking in terms of transit, mild populated camping.. not backwoods living
