Justifying not worrying about it because there is a cure doesn't make sense, as most people can not afford the cure. Not yet anyway.
I know someone who had it. Not a pleasant way to go. And yes, we're all going to die, but you don't have to die badly.
Perhaps in the near future it will be affordable for everyone.
