Yeah I would never suggest doing a new install with Debian Squeeze! Debian Wheezy is out and if you are going with Debian it would make sense to use it or even a developmental version maybe. But for those of us with older servers we could have it still. I have a Debian Squeeze box and it was a concern to me. See everything works and is stable for my uses but if it no longer gets security updates then it means I MUST upgrade it to Wheezy or do something else like get a new install or server, configure the new server, then upload a full backup. Distribution upgrades are kind of a crapshoot. Usually something little at least breaks or in some cases it will not even boot.
