I woke up bitchy this morning and am nursing a migraine so I apologize in advance if I go off the deep end a bit here.
One of my pet peeves are all the ingrates out there. The ones who can't say thank you or admit their mistakes. The one's who react defensively to any and all comments or questions.
Over in the webmaster q&a a guy named "iguess" has a thread asking about how much a site would cost to build.

I saw that ad when it went up and I had visited the sites he referenced.
At cityvibe.com there is an escort/classified site. At eros.com there is an escort/classified site. BUT when I went to
eroads.com I ended up redirected to
http://www.eroadinfo.com/ which is a wordpress site about "Pavement and Asset Management Solutions".
I didn't think the eroads site was right but I kind of went past the thread at that point.
A few days later, I noticed the thread again and saw that someone was discussing how to make eroads.com and that it was just wordpress etc. Their was several back and forths about that.

I went back through the sites and eroads.com was definitely going to a wordpress site but was definitely NOT going to an escort site. So, I decided to ask about it.

cityvibe.com goes to a classified ads/escort type site
eros.com goes to an escort listing site
BUT eroads.com redirects to http://www.eroadinfo.com/ which is titled as an "GIS Integrated Pavement and Asset Management Solution" ?
Is that the right url? Because for some reason that one does not seem to fit in with the rest.

So, does "iguess" come back and tell me a different url? Does he confirm for me that I am looking at the right site (the one that he listed several times)) ? Nope, so what does he do?
He comes at me for being negative. WTF?

No thank you for pointing out he might have the wrong url. No giving me a new url to look at although he does admit he has the wrong site (kind of).
Nope, let's just blame the guy trying to help because somewhere in there the asshole sees "negativity" because I dared to ask a question that might actually help me answer his question.
I am thinking at this point that he meant
erosads.com but it took me a bit of thinking and research (like confirming what erosads.com was) to figure it out. But I am being negative when I ask about the url and try to stop the guy from getting bad info because the people looking at the sites are looking at the wrong one. Yep, I'm the fucking bad guy here because I am not making assumptions, aren't I?
So, fuck you "iguess", and fuck you all you people who get defensive and see criticism in every comment someone makes to you or every question someone asks of you.
It is a very poor communicator that blames the receiver when the message is mangled.
