Whether or not you honor this request, I'm going to ask anyway: please don't. I realize that now that I've asked you not to do so, you might want to do it more regularly, but I'm hoping you show respect for my wishes by not doing so. It's not like I've never seen such things, it's just that I have been praying for several years now that God would let me see people through His eyes. AaronM can attest to the fact that I try hard to look at women differently, as he's taken me to a strip club for lunch thinking it would be amusing to do so, only to notice I didn't ogle the women there. I see this girl as someone's daughter. Definitely God's daughter, which literally makes her a Princess, as I consider Him to be King of Creation. I really don't want treat a Princess like that.

Yes, I realize this sort of comment is one of the many reasons why OldJeff thinks I'm batshit crazy, but worrying about whether or not people think I'm crazy isn't something that I allow to keep me from sharing my thoughts and opinions.

So... if you are capable of showing me just a bit of respect... that'd be great.
You know I am respectful of you and not going to judge you based on your religious convictions. I am only here to engage in healthy discourse and debate with someone I would call a friend.

I would just like you to note that sexual shame was never ever part of the gospels. The whole sexual shame aspect of Christianity didn't even enter the picture until many hundreds of years after Christ. Frankly, the ones calling for Chastity and a male dominant class of religious leaders didn't come into the picture until Corinthians. Let's face it, that paved the way for the Catholic Church and they don't really have the best rep for a healthy attitude towards sex, much less a respect for tolerance of any sort if you take into account the Crusades, Nazis, etc.

Going back to the OT, the Ten Commandments are not even anti sex, just anti-covet, and there is a huge difference. Appreciating sex and sexuality and human form, considering that is what makes God's Creation viable in the first place, stands to reason that sex and sexuality are not the things that Jesus was preaching about. His earliest fans were prostitutes forgodsakes! Tossing the temple had less to do with sex than it has to do with misuse of the premises for the intended purpose of worship. At least that is what I get from it.
