I know many doctors go to medical conferences and keep learning but is there mandatory testing of all doctors/specialists every X years to see if they have kept up with current knowledge? When you go to see a doctor and you look at his diploma and it's dated 1974 is there any way to know if he's ever read another book/journal or got any additional training in the past 40 years?
