I listened to all the Foo Fighters songs posted in here and just felt.... nothing. For whatever reason on paper I should like them but there's something missing.
But I could totally see PJ Harvey and FF covering Milk It together (per that anecdote you posted ADGWD) - they would totally jive. Maybe that's the mid-90s Steve Albini effect.
