And why is it not legal ? Because the west says it aint ? Its up to local regions to decide who they want to rule them and if it means breaking up Ukrain so be it . It would stop a lot of bloodshed because this will end up like the Yugoslavian war if it continues with ethnic fighting between the two sides.
