Over the weekend, reports out of Russia said the director CIA, John Brennan, secretly flew to Kiev under an assumed name to influence the impending crackdown on pro-Russian protesters.
The CIA initially refused to confirm or deny whether Brennan had traveled to Ukraine. However, on Monday the
White House conceded Brennan did travel to Ukraine, as part of a trip to Europe, but said it was
?absurd? to portray the visit as anything other than a
routine attempt to foster security cooperation.
