In 7 pages I tried to show you that money earned per click is what matters. Now it appears the one who was listening was Ruseful. He has decided that the money earned per affiliate is too low to bother sponsoring many of you. It's the exact same equation from the sponsor side as it was from the affiliate side. It really doesn't matter if you send few sales because of bad luck, poor traffic, laziness, sending many sales to another sponsor instead, taking a vacation or whatever other reason. He knows the exact amount of sales you send, the dollar value of each sale you send, the chargeback ratio from your traffic AND the resource cost of generating those sales (as Sly mentioned).
Now it becomes simple math:
Money Earned / Days (chargebacks + GFY Nonsense)
Affiliate A
$23.00 / 3 days (0+lots of foolish posts) = Canceled account of "GFY big shot"
Affiliate B
$16.00 / 30 days (0+professional) = small webmaster who might grow bigger one day
Affiliate C
$16,865 / 1 days (2+professional) = whale worthy of whatever custom tools are needed
It really is very simple to figure out as a sponsor and the math is just as easy from an affiliate point of view....
