I was pretty clear.Crimea is one thing, but now they are moving towards other parts of Ukraine. That is another thing.
I understand supporting Crimea occupation, but definitely not what Russia is doing right now in other parts of Ukraine. You must be disgrace of a human being to support that. That is why I wanted to see a public poll.Comment

You do understand that sub groups can vote to separate from the whole? That is how the Ukraine recently formed? All of the USSR did not vote to leave the USSR only the Ukraine did? So your idea above is totally stupid right? You do get that?Crimea was Hitler taking over Austria, nothing more nothing less. They can drop lies until they are blue in the face, the facts remain. Democracy is the vote of the MAJORITY over the minority and when it comes to territories, if you want referendum, make it a national one and only THEN it might carry some weight. If the whole of Ukraine voted to join Russia, Mars, or the Moon, I would have cared less.
Now the two neighbors that at least used to tolerate if not like each other will be enemies for the next who knows how long, yup, pretty awesome. Russia is really playing it smart, one more enemy at their border and waking up the half-asleep NATO, which is most likely going to take the chance and expand East as much as it can.
Putin - wannabe Hitler, who is too fucking stupid to realize what this is going to cost the Russians in the long run or simply doesn't give a flying fuck. After all, he is going to remain in the Russian history books as the mighty hero, who made Russia just a bit bigger, I think that's as good as it gets for any dictator.Comment

Official resolution voted and adopted by the European Parliament -> http://www.europarl.europa.eu/oeil/p...39823&t=d&l=en
Parliament goes on to express concern about the rising nationalistic sentiment in Ukraine, expressed in support for the Svoboda Party, which, as a result, is one of the two new parties to enter the Verkhovna Rada. It recalls that racist, anti-Semitic and xenophobic views go against the EU's fundamental values and principles and therefore appeals to pro-democratic parties in the Verkhovna Rada not to associate with, endorse or form coalitions with this party.

and we have not even talked about Right Sector.
Ukraine's new fascist government:
Vice Prime Minister - Oleksandr Sych - Svoboda member
Minister of Education and Science - Serhiy Kvit - Stepan Bandera All-Ukrainian Organization member
Minister of Defense - Ihor Tenyukh - Svoboda member (resigned)
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food - Ihor Shvaika - Svoboda member
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine - Andriy Mokhnyk - Svoboda member
Lies, propaganda... revolution almost every year
These are the reasons why we Europeans don't like the Ukrainians.

Yeah, in post-soviet Russia, we separate you.
Putin - tomorrow Crimea joins us or I'm sending in the army, this is what we call democracy in Putin's Russia.
Even funnier that he has totally lost it, in his yesterday's Q&A he calls the Ukrainians "our friends" and only a few minutes later he answers a questions with "yes, I can still send the army in, but let's hope that we don't get to that." Gee, what an awesome friend to haveComment

Nope. Big players are the USA (these are behind the Maydan revolution) and Russia (it supports anti-Maydan movement). The Sates have their own interestы there, such as destabilization on Russian western border, moving NATO closer to Russia and turning the Ukraine into a buffer zone. While Russia cares about it's national security and about Russian people in the Ukraine.
As about the Ukrainians. Nobody cares about them. They just pawns on the chessboard played by uncle Sam and Putin.Obey the CowgodComment

I don't understand why NATO need to be closer to the Russian border - What can they do from Ukraine that they can't from Poland or Turkey?..Nope. Ask NATO then
What about learning geography?
How long it will take for a missile to reach Moscow from Turkey/Poland and from Ukraine, professor?

Russia is 100% in the wrong here and everyone knows it except the brainwashed Russians. Kiev was Ukraine's problem not Russia's. It doesn't matter if or why there were protests there or even how it was handled, Russia had no right to invade another country and steal a chuck of land, it doesn't matter what the history was or who lived there, that part of the map belonged to Ukraine.
If the people of that country wanted to have a vote and let parts of their country join Russia then that's on them and then Russia. However just rolling on in and taking something is nothing more than a Hitler move.Last edited by crockett; 04-18-2014, 05:41 AM.In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

i am very far away from there so it's none of my business, except that....my POS president will somehow manifest a bajillion dollars of our money to fight for whatever side our government chooses. somehow we have no money and everyone must pay more taxes but there was a magical trillion dollars to fight in other countries mainly over the oil we want. that's another topic i suppose.
as an outsider it does appear that Crimea prefers to be Russian and if it stopped there and everyone was happy then i'm all for it. if there is a bigger agenda to stamp out the Ukraine than i feel that is shady as fuck and would piss me off if i was Ukranian for sure. I have clients in both countries that feel so strongly about their nation's positions that i could never tell one or the other they were wrong, i have no right. I am for everyone just getting along and hoping their is a peaceful solution in the end. and hoping my country minds their own fucking business which nearly never happensJulie Larson

Chechnya declared full independence from Moscow in 1993 and a few months later...

Regarding the first pic in the series...

Red Army and Wehrmacht fraternize at the victory parade in Brest-Litovsk after the partition of Poland.
Russians shouldn't be so quick in condemning Ukrainians for allying with Hitler as they did the same thing for at least 2 years 1939-1941 after signing Ribbentrop-Molotov pact.
"the treaty included a secret protocol that divided territories of Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland into Nazi and Soviet "spheres of influence", anticipating potential "territorial and political rearrangements" of these countries."Comment
