Global warming is not BS and your explanation oversimplifies the problem.

The first is TOO MUCH CO2 (and other "greenhouse gasses")... CO2 is a greenhouse gas because too much CO2 in the atmosphere keeps more heat, warming the planet. Just a couple of degrees increase is enough to decrease ice and increase water causing more flooding. It also causes the ocean to warm, which creates stronger storms.

The second is what causes the extra CO2, but CO2 is not the only greenhouse gas. People are a major contributor thanks to cars, industry, oil etc.

The earth, via trees and other plants, absorb CO2. The problem though is that there is not enough forests and plants to do this anymore. More CO2 is being pumped into the atmosphere than can be absorbed.
