I think that virtual cam studios are on the decline because more and more models are figuring out that they can just signup directly with the cam site and make more money. On the other hand if you can run a physical studio and provide a service that is beneficial in your city then I would say go for it. If you do open a physical cam studio I do not recommend advertising in strip clubs that are near by LOL ...unless you want the owner of the club hunting you down.
