Youll have a whole new outlook on your abs and core after this. The most trivial things such as sneezing, coughing, farting, squeezing the last drop of pee out, blowing your nose, getting up to pee int he middle of the night become rather difficult or painful. I had a Pain-ball which is like a bladder filled with a local that numbed the area for about 3-4 days.
yeah my right side is pretty bad... left side is just starting I didn't even notice it... the surgeon did.. ( a surgeon will always find something to cut on)

I saw every specialist I could between mesh and no mesh... here in Las Vegas we have 1 doctor that does no mesh.. in the country there are only like 5 that do the no mesh technic I would do the "shouldice" after talking with the doctors and surgeons I decided to go with mesh for strength....

I am a lean guy with very little body fat... I walk at 7-8% body fat and when I cut weight to compete I get down to the 4% range ... we also decided to do laparoscopic so we can go under the muscle to patch it rather than over... again I'm to thin and if we did open surgery you will feel the mesh and I take a bad chance on hitting that nerve and going numb in the leg or extreme burning in the leg....

I am pretty happy with the doctor I chose so far... everything I read and all the surgeons I talked to said choice of surgeon is more important than type of surgery....
