Im 32 now... in great shape.... I got the hernia's last year I think training one of my fighters for a fight... I walk in the 150-160 range and cut to compete at 135-145 in MMA and Grappling tourneys....

I'm always training with welterweights and above .....

the doc says as long as I take it easy the first 2 weeks to let the mesh sit in place and attach itself I should be good ....

ill be cleared for cardio and plyo after 2 weeks and sky is limit after 4 weeks.... there is always a 1-2% chance the hernia can return... he says it all depends how well the mesh sits in the start... so first 4 weeks is the crucial point.... I'm not training I don't have fighters getting ready for fights so I may hold off on cardio for 3 weeks ... not sure yet.....

out of everything I'm reading I'm most worried about the gas they pump in me to inflate my stomach.... I hear horror stories about it causing bad chest pains after surgery
