it all depends on whether the settlers are white or black...when the "proud founding fathers" of the USA basically murdered away the native americans, then it was completely ok....but if black or dark skin settlers move peacefully and get a job then this is a fucking crime...

as for adopting the culture you live in, well USA founding fathers were all in moccasins and shit assimilating in to their new culture, naming their daughters pochahontas and shit, building wig-wam-s and dancing around fires and shit...
all the dutch, french, spanish, potugeese and english colonies were just FULL of europeans who just adopted local culture
