Personally, me I like with Tabasco. In the morning, it's sausage with huevos and tobasco - the peppers and tomatoes have to be fresh and cold-chopped.
Corn with Tabasco - the best.
New Orleans/Louisiana food - from fancy French Quarter stuff to white trash and dirty rice cooking...
Steaks - with red wine and mushrooms in any form. As long as there's mushrooms.
Tacos - the real kind or the west-coast-california kind... Tacos!
Marcos & Pepe's here in Montreal have a great red (tomato?) rice that is amazing.
The belgian fries from the restaurant "Frites Alors!"
In the US south, the chain Popeye's has excellent rice & beans...
Speaking of the South... the "soul food" available almost in any smallish city is awesome.
Pho Bang New York in Montreal, the only place I've tasted perfect Tonkinese soup (they even bring fresh basil and coriander).
Speaking of coriander, most small towns in Mexico's baja peninsula have the most insanely incredible salsa I've ever had.
Florida: cuban sandwiches!
Montreal's portugeuse community: chicken sandwiches with the fat and skin included.
Montreal: Smoked Meat!
Montreal: Poutine!
Montreal: Smoked-Meat Poutine!
Ethiopian round-table meals with injera bread!
Montreal: BAGELS!
Vietnamese spring and imperial rolls...
Pesto! The real kind, with pine nuts and basil and ... drool... so hard to find it done right.
Goat, beef or chicken Roti, the best in Montreal being at the Carribean Roti House on Victoria.
Butter Chicken!
Nan bread!
Ahhh... too much must stop!
