I used to be a big warbird buff in the 70s and 80s so I knew the sound of four R3350s in the air, that sound that I hadn't heard in almost 30 years started to intrude on my consciousness as I'm sitting at my desk, I stick my head out on the balcony in time to catch Fifi going by just off the beach.

She came back by about 15 minutes later, I guess it's at Santa Maria airport today

If you ever get the chance to see one of these old warbirds or even better go up in one don't pass it up, one of my most fun times I ever had is the time I went up in a P51 Mustang with a Champion race pilot at the controls.
