Sweden has a law that prohibits provoking groups of people by hateful expression. HOWEVER, Sweden has guaranteed freedom of speech in our constitution and the bill of human rights are incorporated into Swedish law. There is a very fine line to walk for the Swedish justice system, and this verdict will probably be appealed to the Swedish supreme court and might even end up in the European Court of Human Rights, so it is far from over. There are many of us in Sweden that feel the extreme right parties are being treated in a bad manner by the media and the government. Even thou I do not support the opinion of these parties, I believe they have the right to express their own opinion and should be met with fact in open debate not with law.
