Did you promote anything besides SC sites? (because then I see his point)
Did you make any sales at SC? (because if you didnt make sales then you're just handing out free content)

It's been years since I've even seen any SC sites though I seem to recall the images all had "licensed to sc" on them? like his biz model was to stay away from owning the images(and copyright)? I wonder if he even had copyright to pull on you
