ATVOD 2014-15 Fee Tariff

Dear Industry Forum Member,

This email has been distributed to Industry Forum members for information, you may have already received a copy of this email if you are the nominated primary, secondary or invoicing contact of an ODPS.

2014-15 Fees for providers of On Demand Programme Services (?ODPS?)

After a public consultation, and following approval by Ofcom, ATVOD has today published its fee tariff for the year ending 31 March 2015. As proposed in the consultation the existing tariff structure has been retained and the fees frozen. The decision to freeze fees follows three consecutive years in which average fees have fallen.

As in 2013-14, the fees for 2014-15 range from £91 to £12,302 depending on the nature and turnover of the service provider. Service providers with an annual turnover below £25.9m, or who are non-commercial, or who are in their first year of trading should consider carefully whether they might qualify for a rate below Super A (£9,480 / £12,302) in 2014-15 and make the appropriate application. Such applications must be received by 5pm on Friday 4th July. Please contact ATVOD on 01753 860498 if you have any queries about the tariff rates or how to apply. Invoices will be issued on or soon after 7th July.

Fee application forms and the full statement can be found at http://www.atvod.co.uk/regulated-ser...egulatory-fees .

IMPORTANT: Please note that any service provider who believes they qualify for a rate below the Super A Rate must complete and return the appropriate application form and evidence by 5pm on Friday 4th July. Failure to do so may result in you being charged at the Super A Rate. To avoid being charged at the Super A Rate, you must make a fresh application for 2014-15 even if you qualified for a lower rate in 2013-14.

While the fees paid by video-on-demand providers will not rise in 2014-15, ATVOD has promised enhanced protection for consumers, by devoting more resources to investigating potential breaches of statutory rules.

Kind regards,

Susan Robinson
