That was my first hint. Now browsers freeze and crash due to it. Unless they put some effort in making it better, I see HTML5 replacing it in the upcoming years. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong.

I think adobe should ditch flash protocol completely ,i mean they dont make any money with it,dont they?They make money by selling a program to write flash scripts.
And yes,probably 99% of browsers crashes are caused by flash.And when it comes to replacing,i would love to see HTML5 to replace everything what it can replace,meaning not just desktop apps,mobile apps as well.Imagine a single programming language to cover all those aspects.One day it might happen,but it is definitely slow process even if you have big player behind it,for example valve now pushing hard linux gaming but no effect on it yet.
