The whole recording scandal is all over the news here. The opposing political party (PIS) is milking it for all it's worth trying to get early elections called. The current ruling party (PO) is in all interviews ignoring everyone's concerns about what was said on the tapes and more talking about "We need to find who made these illegal tapes". There's also a bunch of talk about how it may be a Russian plot to try to destabilize the country - but I personally doubt that. |
So the Polish played a role in breaking the Enigma.... Which enabled the the Allies to beat the Germans.... Freeing Poland. I still the think Poland owes everyone for that one.
The rest is.... Blah.
I understand this is one politician, but.... You cannot deny the amount of support the US gives Poland and Europe in general. If this guy wants us to leave, no sweat - we'll leave.
BTW... I'm Polish too.
