So much out there still uses flash. Unfortunately. As for Linux hopefully Firefox and others will work on ways to integrate pepper flash which is still getting updated. In my Arch install I had to execute just a few CLI commands to enable it in my chromium. I guess there already is something to get working in Firefox but it's currently in a hackish state.
And, yes, fuck Adobe and fuck flash. The sooner it is fully replaced with an open solution the better. I jsut hope it isn't out of the frying pan and into the fire though where we move to something even worse and more proprietary.
