I agree on this. From my small amount of SE keyword traffic...live cam sites still seem to strongly outperform regular paysites. I credit the better converting marketing tools from the last couple years as well. I won't recommend a certain site over the other, since there are so many now...all with so many good marketing tools. ...some of the live performers are just that tempting.

Sites like www.VideosZ.com as a good example are great for general traffic and actually retain pretty well. I'd strongly recommend revshare.

Regarding 1. , not just for signup wise...but for webmaster convenience as well it's a great benefit to have many good quality sites / niches all in 1 program. I definately seem to promote more heavily good quality sites across different niches, figuring the chances of signups would eventually get there. Then again, rare niches with little competition seem to have good conversions as well. Femdom , Monster Porn , Fetish, etc. (like u mentioned in #2)
The more input , the better.. seems like everything's mostly remained status quo the last few years...with the exception of some new niches along the way.
