The whole thing is bullshit.
"And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein."
We have followed our directions. The earth is full, plentiful and abundant in human life. The orders have been fulfilled, so why can't we defer pregnancies? Surprisingly, the Jehovah belief is that we have already done our duty to fill the earth and they support contraceptives.
