1. Just because a justice writes something in a dissent does not make it law.

2. The ruling had nothing to do with birth control; birth control prevents conception. It was against things like the morning after pill and IUDs because they kill fertilized eggs; in other words, aborting the fetus if you believe life begins at conception which is scientifically factual.
