On a serious note - countries like that is where some liberal scumbags prosper as well. Usually they are mislead by the good idea because they never encountered what it is like to have "the hood" or "muslim patrol" there.
To be honest I was sort of a liberal scum when I was 17-19 or so. Before I traveled and saw the world etc.
So it is very likely he will grow out of it as well.
