You really can't be this stupid that you can only understand things literally spelled out for you. My point wasn't if kids are still breaking bones but if it has decreased over the past 4 decades and what are the reasons.
I am sure one of the major reasons is kids are supervised and over protected more. Some for the good and some for the bad. We'd leave the house at 9am in the summer and sometimes wouldn't return until dark, our parents had no idea what we were up to and really weren't worried about it.
So many kids I know broke their arms falling out of trees - I don't even know if kids climb trees anymore. They have no reason to fill in time climbing trees and jumping off shit, they go to organized sports activities and then into the house where they have an endless amount of electronic entertainment.
