Robbie you have it wrong. China is going full force building solar panels and other green energies. The Obama administration provided assistance to companies like Solyndra to help improve the technology to and to hopefully beat China. Why should America or any other country buy solar panels from China when it could have been built right here at home, and create more high tech jobs in addition to the installation jobs?
You should also know that Solyndra was back by the Walton Family (Owners of Walmart, and conservatives themselves). Their loan was guaranteed by the Department of Energy,
which itself came from GEORGE W BUSH (Surprise! He did something that was good).
When the economy tanked, some solar companies including Solyndra just could not compete with the subsidized companies in China and went bankrupt.
But instead of explaining even the most basic bits of the truth, the right wingers blame obama, and call green energy a failure.
The amount of complete bullshit spewed by right wingers in office, and in the media, and even here on GFY, is both troubling and sad.
