Why go back 70 years, lets go back thousands of years...

Third most holiest site in Israel for Islam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Aqsa_Mosque

Al-Aqsa Mosque (Arabic:المسجد الاقصى al-Masjid al-Aqṣā, IPA: [ʔælˈmæsdʒɪd ælˈʔɑqsˤɑ] ( listen), "the Farthest Mosque") also known as Al-Aqsa and Bayt al-Muqaddas, is the third holiest site in Islam and is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. The site on which the silver domed mosque sits, along with the Dome of the Rock, also referred to as al-Haram ash-Sharif or "Noble Sanctuary,"[2] is the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, the place where the Temple stood before being destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE.

How does a mosque sit on top of a previously Jewish temple, and not just any temple, the most historic temple of all! I guess the Jews must have dug underneath the 3rd holiest Islamic site and built it in the middle of the night like a pack of rats, thousands of years ago! This was a grand place to build it!

Bottom line is, there's a lot of history to this land. History that dates way back past 100 years. Considering the mosque is on top of the temple, something tells me the temple was there first. The point is more about the time frame you should be using in your analysis of "history." Feel free to dispute wikipedia.
