It's marketing. Reaching consumers. Like it or not this commercial resonates with multiple races. Lay-away is not something unfamiliar to the American culture. Yo mama jokes are extremely popular...someone link to the MTV show.

I'm pretty sure I heard these kids suggesting that making wise financial decisions was cool...no matter how that is spoken, it's a good message. Like it or not, slang is popular, understood, AND utilized by American youth of ALL races.
