Let them know its ok to bring a GIRLFRIEND to the shoot. Do NOT let them bring their idiot jealous boyfriends because it will ruin the shoot. It's important to establish a connection & trust between you and your model without her BF fucking it all up and telling her (and you) what to do. A girlfriend is much more likely to be supportive while still watching out for her. And you have the added benefit of scoring a shoot with the girlfriend too if she's into the idea and trusts you.
Do NOT hit on the model. Do NOT make stupid jokes.
DO be complete honest (first time, not sure what you want, etc).
Good luck!

See here I'm the one worried they will bring a boyfriend and jack me for my camera stuff.
I'm not lesbian, so I wont be hitting on the women, and I'm a pretty chill person, so I can't imagine them being uncomfortable. If anything *I* will be a little weirded out by seeing things in person I have never seen up close and personal. Oh my!
