Many of the streamers seek donations that they then use part of for prizes to give away (normally games) some use it to better their streaming setup.
As for some hot babe playing and making money from it, despite what was said above in this thread, don't kid yourselves, those girls who are gaming with a larger cam running, wearing low cut tops or tank tops (tank tops are very popular lol) have hundreds of viewers per stream and most are NOT there for the game.
I've made a few bucks streaming here and there, and I was always shocked (at first) I actually asked a few times WHY?? and the replies were the same "You are funny as hell and I love watching you" So I guess in a way it's like paying for ___________ <-- Insert entertainment venue of your choice.
