Lucifer as we traditionally define him is actually symbolism for an alien life form that has attempted to take control of planet Earth. In the book of Genesis when they talk about a serpent entering the garden of Eden to corrupt Eve, that is actually an alien. The description of eating from the tree of knowledge is symbolic of the alien giving Eve something to eat that corrupted her mind. These alien life forms will one day show themselves to Earth again and they will bring with them great technological advancements including the so-called "mark of the beast," which it is in your best interest to not accept from them regardless of the perceived benefits.
