So, do you tent camp or do you have a cabin or something? I've been taking my VW van up into the Rockies any chance I get while I've been here in Denver. I typically drive around the forest roads til I find a place that seem appealing.
I have however been contemplating attempting a through hike of the AT trail next summer. I just haven't decided if I'm really crazy enough to do it.
