Yes, they have captured some guns and tanks, but they have made war for months and have had significant casualties. They haven't captured hundreds of tanks/ armoured vehicles as far as I know. From who they would have captured that much vehicles anyways? Were there (in that region) that much Ukraine troops to begin with?
Having big population doesn't have anything to do with this, unless you suggest that some significant enough percentage of the population did posses tanks/ armoured vehicles before this conflict.

As usually, ignorance is what is dominating in your posts. There were no hundreds of tanks, but up to 10 vehicles . Who can be so stupid to think Russians would attack with 10 tanks? WTF? ..anyway, when I mention population, it means that it has regular army troops as every other part of Ukraine, which means guns, tanks, etc....that is not desert but a part of country. If you can't make conclusion like that on your own,I really don't have what to tell you.
