Yes, there were some regular troops, but did they all turn up as rebels/ were captured with the material they had?
By hundreds of tanks/ vehicles I referred to the total amount of vehicles captured, that is important factor when determining the rebels strength (unless they have been resupplied). Also based on news there were more than 10 vehicles and I didn't talk about attack. Maybe the Russians were just resupplying rebels?
Besides being armchair general, I am just squad leader, but leader nevertheless, and I know that war requires serious amounts of resources just to be able to sustain fighting. This comes even more important if there are significant casualties. So, it is very valid question, that from where does the rebels supply come from, in terms of food, guns, vehicles and ammunition.
