I'm really surprised at this question in 2014.
Unless you only care about USA/CA traffic or are talking about VOD credit card exclusively sponsor programs, mobile has been the king of adult revenue since like 3 years ago.
Check prices at any traffic broker or ad network for mobile vs desktop. For example, UK redirects from a mix of sites, tubes, blogs, etc, not SEO traffic of course and no niche traffic, $91 per 1k visits in a known network (I'm paying it right now). If such prices are being paid, it's for a reason.
Tell me a traditional desktop paysite that generates $91 per thousand visits from non SEO or highly targeted traffic.
We at Kimia have some super affiliates making $6k per day only buying mobile traffic from ad networks, brokers and sites directly. They are buying the traffic from those that think mobile doesn't make any money in 2014 or from those that think that mobile traffic outside USA/CA is worthless in 2014, or from those that think that they should block India or Thailand or Mexican mobile traffic because they are just freeloaders with no credit cards.
Some of the people posting and reading in this thread could post stats screenshots of their mobile revenue per country and the eCPM they get and those of you still asking if mobile makes money in 2014 won't believe it, but they prefer to shut up and smile.
Go to any webmaster event and take a look at the panels and what everybody is talking about, mobile.
Ask also the dating and cams programs, mobile is huge for them and I know because we send a lot of sales/leads to them.
Do some research, did you know that like 50% of internet traffic is now from mobile devices?
Again if you are only talking about classic VOD sites and credit card processing in USA/CA, then you might be right, mobile is maybe not as huge as desktop right now but there are some paysites making a lot on mobile already, I know as we send USA/CA traffic to them, but outside that, mobile is what saved this industry outside North America and it's growing non stop.

One click is pretty rare now as it was abused a lot 2 years ago, but 2 or three clicks carrier billing is available almost worldwide but in USA/CA and in some 3rd world countries. If you want to make money from Adult in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, mobile is THE way.

Why do you think that MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA have mobile apps and offer paid subscriptions in those to watch full games live? Because they are used and a lot!
