Under the sentence he received Friday in Whitman County Superior Court, the 26-year-old native of Houston, Christopher Jack Reid, will be eligible for parole in nine years."

He's still got 3 and a half years until he's eligible for parole. What he did is far less than what this War Machine has done. I'm not going to defend Venice nor do I have any sympathy for him but I do think his life sentence was excessive, his 'pornstar' status/infamy seems to have played a part in the harsh sentence.
