I guess none of you idiots understand that California's San Joaquin Valley ALONE provides around 13% of America's food.
Have any of you ever thought about what will happen when 13% of the nation's food production suddenly disappears?
This isn't about Los Angeles drinking water, that comes mostly from Northern California.
This is about losing a huge amount of America's food supply.
Do any of you know why farmers are draining the aquifer at such a rate?
Because of a fish.

The state government has been denying farmers the water from Northern California at an ever increasing rate over the last few years in order to save an evolutionary dead-end.
So... in order to not lose everything they worked for the farmers pump more and more well water, draining the aquifer at an ever-increasing rate.
