Yep, you're right. Most of my family live in Calgary. When I refuse to move there I remind them that it freakin' SUCKS in Calgary between September and June. At least here in Montreal it's still 28c and sunny, warm and green, and the girls are still wearing skirts and shorts instead of parkas.
