I have a few nephews that are 5 and 9. They both have their own ipad minis. A year or so ago I was on my android phone and the older one asked me if that was a iphone.. When I told him what I had he rolled his eyes like my phone was junk and he couldn't be bothered. Both of their parents are iphone owners.
