I have been to the slums of Bangkok and we talk the real dirt poor places and it blew my mind I have never seen anything like that in the Western world including the US.
We are talking 6 square meter rooms where 15-20 rooms share a toilet and bath in the open, next to the a smelly klong that regularly overflow.
