I actually do spam reddit.
I am mad not because I can't spam, but because larger internet entities use theft and other people's content to build themselves up. Once they are big (and often even before) they suddenly become 'moral' and look down upon 'spammers' which is a loosely based term in their view to mean '
a person looking to make money other than us'.
Even if that person contributes to the site in a relevant and engaging manner it doesn't matter. He is labelled one of those dirty, disgusting 'spammers' that we need to rid the internet of.
It is this double talk I dislike from all the bigger sites now-a-days.
It is pure propaganda to make the general public believe that anyone who tries to make money (other than them of course) is 'bad' and 'spamming' and disturbing the peace and just ruining it for us all.
Actual spamming like getting 100 emails on Viagra or posting make-money-work-at-home links in subreddits created for 'art appreciation' is completely understandable. But not posting a link in a relevant subreddit that happens to have a continuation of the relevant content, at the center of the page with an ad or two that are not intrusive.
So yes I am angry at them for that.
That being said I still spam them everyday along with other Social media sites and will as long as it is profitable.
