This table looks very outdated (even if they say it for 2013). Really.

According to that Wikipedia article, even back in 2007 Russia had a better education. On the other hand, that's table is a bullshit too. Just look at it closer. Cuba is #5. LOL

I don't think it somehow could be related to the country development level. And yes, Northern Caucasus region is a part of Russia too and it makes a very serious contribution into the overage murder rate (it's like a Mexico). However the absolute number murders in Moscow for 2013 is lower than in NYC (are the States developed enough for you?), for example. Even despite the fact that Moscow is a much bigger than NYC.



Also very outdated data. The official life expectancy in Russia is 73.5 (far away from 63.1 that's written in that Wikipedia table):



And don't forget about the average salaries. Even according to Wikipedia, they are almost 2-times higher in Russia comparing to Bulgaria. In fact they are higher even much because of so-called "черный нал" - the average employe here receives his salary as two parts: "white" (the official one) and "black" (the undeclared one which comes in an envelope).
