Now with all the flags it's become unwatchable. You can't go three straight plays with some bullshit call (90% of the time on the defense). I thought it had gotten bad over the last couple of years, but this season it's so annoying that I can hardly enjoy watching a game and I'm seriously considering saying fuck it. This from someone who has been watching 17 weeks + playoffs of professional football for the last 20 + years. What the fuck are the people in charge thinking?

Is anyone equally pissed?

I get pissed when its flag after flag after flag. I don't think it's every game but its annoying and it does kill the flow of the game. The officiating is nowhere near as bad as when they had the replacement refs and they were just missing every call.

On a side note I think the NFL should be asking guys to tackle with their heads up and should totally ban tackling head first, not just helmet to helmet. I think the injuries are killing the game and I see so many unnecessary hits that wouldn't even affect the outcome of the game.

Ike Taylor's injury last night was a perfect example. The WR he was covering caught the ball, he had the guy wrapped up and wasnt going anywhere. A second Steelers defender comes in head first and smashes both of them, destroying Ike's forearm in the wake. You know you have a problem when players are getting injured by their own players on hard hits, and I'm not talking about some offensive lineman rolling up on a guys leg or ankle.

You can't penalize it, but you can certainly run a program asking the players to not go head first (this way they can actually see who the fuck they are hitting), and as well as being smarter on secondary hits. I also think a ton of guys are catching concussions hitting head first with their eyes to the ground. Keep your fucking head up, its really that simple. I like hard hit, but I hate watching good players get injured more. You can also lay a hard hit and keep your head up.

Here's a video... these secondary hits do not need to happen, it doesn't make your enjoyment go up, and it usually leaves someone hurt since they are a blind target:

I guess the flipside here is he is trying to cause a fumble? I dunno - the injuries suck. Dude just caused his own player, whose a 12 year player and pro-bowler to miss the end of the season on that hit.
